Yamana: first product of Nunatak

Yamana® Cold: biological seed treatment for early sowing
Yamana® Cold is a microbial seed treatment formulated with Pseudomonas fluorescens NB1, a native strain isolated from the southernmost lands in the world — naturally adapted to thrive under cold stress. Applied before sowing, it promotes uniform germination and early crop establishment under low-temperature conditions, supporting key crops such as soybean, wheat, corn, and potato. Fully stackable with chemical seed treatments and compatible with selected biological inputs.
The problem YAMANA addresses
Salinity and other abiotic stresses are silently eroding yields. In many regions, farmers face soils that are increasingly difficult — and costly — to manage with conventional inputs alone.
• Fully compatible with existing fertilization and crop protection strategies
• Target crops: Wheat, barley, pastures, and soybean
• Liquid Seed treatment with low-dose efficiency

Coming soon: Yamana Terra
YAMANA is the first bioinput emerging from Nunatak’s platform designed to help crops perform better, even in saline and stressed soils. It has a triple action: microbial consortium, nutrition, and organic regenerator, working both as biofertilizer and biostimulant.
How YAMANA works - MOA (mode of action)
Microbial Consortium
- Nutrient acquisition and root colonization traits
- Phosphate solubilization
- Biofilm formation
- Biological nitrogen fixation (proven in vitro)
- Biocontrol of fungal phytopathogens
- IAA (Indole-3-acetic acid) productionTolerance to salinity and abiotic stress.
Micronutrition
- Highly bioavailable
- Controlled release
- Zn: Auxin synthesis, cell elongation, enzymatic activity
- B: Cell division, cell wall integrity, flowering
- Mo: Key cofactor for nitrogen assimilation enzymes
- Improved nutrient use efficiency
- Synergy with our microorganisms
Organic Amendment
- Seed conditioning (seed priming) through activation of hydrolytic enzymes
- Root elongation via hormonal signaling
- Increased early stress tolerance through activation of antioxidant responses in the seed and root
- Recruitment of beneficial microbiota

Current stage and next steps
YAMANA is on field scale validation for registration and on pilots with agribusiness companies on several crops and regions.
